There are Halloween people and there are … not.
If the thought of creating a clever costume, or dropping $100 to rent one, is more frightening to you than being alone with left-over candy, then perhaps making plans on Halloween that do not require special duds will prove the most perfect treat for you this year.
1.Dine at Filomena: Wear your work clothes out to dinner, and let someone else serve up food and spirits. This classic Georgetown Italian restaurant won’t offer eyeball soup or rename its gnocchi “monster brains” for the night. It will, however, have every corner of the restaurant bedecked in Halloween decor.
2. Rocky Horror Picture Show: If you want to laugh at all the Halloween hoopla, buy a ticket at E Street Cinema to see this classic, and it’s not a trick. This movie theater really does sell organic chocolates, beer and wine at the snack bar.
3. Fright Night at the Museum: Leave CSI for the DVR and roam among true crime scene relics. The Crime Museum is hosting a haunted house it claims is the scariest in town now through October 31.
