Responsibilities include:

  • Working well with InDesign, Pages, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint
  • Managing web and print design project
  • Working well on deadline and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Leading the design team & working closely with the web team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years in graphic design and production
  • Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator CS6
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic HTML/CSS

Education:

Technology Business Reporter to Cover Government

FedScoop, the leading online news publication serving the federal government technology market, is expanding its editorial team. The federal government spends more than $80 billion annually on information technology. This is an opportunity to cover some of the biggest and most innovative technology programs in the world and some of the nation’s top technology officials.

We are seeking a full-time reporter to cover government technology trends, policies and decision-makers.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

  • Covering daily news related to the use of technology in federal agencies.
  • Attending and covering related events to stay on top of emerging trends and strengthen ties with the federal IT community.
  • Writing in-depth enterprise stories on technology, and interviewing government and industry thought leaders for personality profiles.
  • Researching and crafting a monthly or quarterly feature story on civilian agency technology trends to educate decision-makers, legislators and other influencers in government and industry.
  • Follow and engage government and industry leaders on social media.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Candidates should have at least three years of technology business reporting experience, ideally in online media, and familiarity with federal agencies.
  • Outstanding news judgment, with an ability to manage multiple assignments and report and write concisely and with flair on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Degree in journalism preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AP Style.
  • Strong grasp of grammar, attention to detail and exceptional people skills.
  • Multimedia skills a plus.

Director of PR & Social Strategy

Event Manager

Do you love bringing people together for extraordinary events? FedScoop is one of the most exciting and innovative events companies in DC and we are looking for another enthusiastic, passionate superstar to join our events team in our Georgetown office!

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing registration for meetings: managing the registration database; monitoring online registrations; compiling weekly and final registration reports; reconciling registration data post events; responding to event related questions; manage on-site registration.
  • Coordinating event logistics with multiple vendors.
  • Working with the events team on event development and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities to include- speaker communication and outreach, attendee communication.
  • Providing on-site support at events as requested
  • Assisting with the development of the events marketing strategy to include: marketing of events, social media outreach and press releases.
  • Managing event hosting duties, and interaction with clients on a consistent basis.
  • Executing agreements and payments, and ensuring all moving pieces of events are on time and on budget.
  • Supporting special projects as required
