Consumer Financial Protection BureauThe new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced it is looking for its first Chief Information Officer.

The Chief Information Officer of the CFPB oversees and directs IT procurement and program development for assigned technology. This is a term appointment. The areas of responsibility for this position include developing, implementing, and managing IT systems that provide the necessary information for conducting the office’s financial mission.

The agency, established under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, works to “make sure that consumers have the information they need to understand the terms of their agreements with financial companies.”
