The Department of Defense is looking for a director of C4 and information infrastructure. The position pays between $119,554 and $179,700 per year and is open for applications until July 20.

Develops policies, technical analysis and assessments, standards development, and architectural representations for the DCIO (C4&IIC), the DoD CIO on all matters related aerial, space, and terrestrial communications capabilities, command and control systems and mission applications, Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) services and gateways, network management and operations, position, navigation, and timing (PNT), commercial mobile devices and personnel recovery systems.

Provides oversight of Military Departments and Defense Agencies to ensure adherence to policy, to implementation standards, and to capability architectures for their communications and C2 programs to ensure delivery of an intergrated end-to-end capability.

Conducts modeling, simulation, and technical analysis of key communications program and networks for incorporation into the Joint Information Environment.

Serves as a DoD CIO senior liaison to the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Combatant Command C4 community.

Engages and forms partnerships with OSD, Joint Staff, Military Departments, Defense Agencies and Combatant Commanders on capability gap assessments to formulate, coordinate, and resource C4 communications and network capabilities to meet validated operational requirements.
