The U.S. Department of Energy is looking for an associate chief information officer. The job pays between 119,554 and $179,700 per year and is open for applications until March 28.

The Office of the Chief Information Officer is seeking a motivated and highly qualified candidate for an exciting full-time permanent position in the Office of the Associate CIO for Energy IT Services.

The Associate Chief Information Officer provides executive direction and management of Department-wide administrative automatic data processing and telecommunications facilities and resources located at various sites Department wide.

Represents the Department in a variety of high-level government committees, national forums, and professional associations, focusing on activities to meet data processing and telecommunications systems requirements and to improve service to the customers.

Implements, manages, and maintains Department-wide telecommunications services and operations to include: migration of existing agency networks, development of a Corporate Enterprise Network, conducting business process re-engineering to eliminate and/or streamline telecommunications administrative processes, managing the Headquarters site telecommunications network and cyber security (classified and unclassified) programs, evaluating and implementing network design tools, and promoting cost-effective telecommunications services through re-engineering/cost sharing agreements.
