Survey: U.S. insurers earned $1B in cyber premiums last year

U.S. insurers took in almost $1 billion in premiums last year for writing cybersecurity policies, according to new figures from credit analysts at Fitch Ratings.

The General Services Administration is offering buyouts and early retirements to more than 1,000 employees in the second of three rounds of planned buyouts this year.
Employees have until July 20 to apply for the buyouts. If accepted, they must leave their job between August 3 and September 20.
Round one targeted employees at the Federal Acquisition Service, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Office of Governmentwide Policy and Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies.
