Derived credentials will let feds use smartphones for ID

Government agencies will soon be able to replace the familiar Personal Identity Verification card with a smartphone equipped with a secure chip, two vendors say.

There’s a new app in GSA’s app store.
The Department of Housing and Urban Developing earlier this month published PD&R Edge App, an online magazine from the agency that provides news and information on housing and community development issues, regulations and research.
The app allows users to share content on popular social media networks like Facebook and Twitter, and via email.
