During her tenure at AeA, Goldy grew her department's revenues by over 500% and her department became the fastest growing revenue unit for the association. Prior to AeA, Goldy spent a decade as a top performer in the tech industry holding significant sales and executive management positions where she negotiated and closed multi-million dollar contracts.
Steven Vito - President of Sales & Marketing
Steve Vito comes to Scoop News Group with a devout adherence to the time-tested formula on serving the best interests of advertisers, that is, deliver meaningful content - coupled with their advertising message – to an appropriate audience. Steve’s wide range of experience in B2B and B2G markets has enabled him to implement this formula while utilizing the latest in digital tools and live events.
Steve spent the early portion of his career with two of New York’s renowned B2B publishing powerhouses, Fairchild Publications and McGraw-Hill. At the latter firm, he earned two Corporate Chairman’s awards, one each for sales and marketing. He then moved to IT publisher IDG Communications which brought him to DC as publisher of , a weekly IT news publication focused on the federal government.
Steve’s career moves coincided with the increasing impact of the Internet on publishing. He moved to Atlantic Media where he became president of Government Executive Media Group – home to its namesake magazine as well as The Excellence in Government Conference and the research arm, Government Business Council.
In 2013, Steve’s experience further expanded when he collaborated with the Washington ABC affiliate on the creation of a 30-minute weekly business program.
With this experience in all areas of media, Steve is able to help advertisers achieve their campaign objectives (lead generation, thought leadership, product announcements or pure branding) while utilizing the latest trends in marketing communications.

Erica Pomroy - Vice President of Events
Erica Pomroy has worked in events business for more than 12 years, and has been producing events in the federal IT events space since 2008. Pomroy joined FedScoop, now known as Scoop News Group, in February 2012 and oversees the company's government events as well client events.
Prior to joining Scoop News Group, Erica produced events for a variety of companies and trade associations, including Marriott Corp., the Council of Landscape Architects, the Air Traffic Control Association, National Business Travel Association, and most recently the American Council for Technology (ACT) - Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
Erica is a graduate of Niagara University's School of Hospitality & Tourism Management.
Wyatt Kash - Vice President of Content Strategy
Wyatt Kash is an accomplished business media executive and award-winning editor and journalist who has been following government IT trends for the past decade. He joined Scoop News Group in June 2014, as Vice President of Content Strategy, where he heads up the company's content strategy and editorial product development.
Most recently, Wyatt served as Editor of InformationWeek Government, a division of UBM Tech, where he developed content and community relations for the government technology market, covering big data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, mobile technology, open government and leadership trends.
Prior to that, he co-led an AOL start team, where he helped create, launch, manage and market an online news platform, featuring advanced social media strategies, aimed at government, defense and technology industry executives. Wyatt also directed editorial strategy and content operations at The Washington Post Co. and subsequently 1105 Media, as Editor-in-Chief of Government Computer News and Defense Systems. His editorial teams have earned numerous national journalism awards.
He was honored in 2011 as the national recipient of the G.D. Crain Award, given to one individual annually for outstanding career contributions to editorial excellence in American business media. Shaun Waterman - Editor-in-Chief
Shaun became UPI's Homeland and National Security Editor shortly after Sept. 11, 2001, covering the Department of Homeland Security from its standup in 2003. His reporting on the Sept. 11 Commission and the tortuous process by which some of its recommendations finally became law in the 2004 Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act earned him a "Dateline Washington" award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
In 2009-10 Shaun produced a major report on cyber-security for critical infrastructure at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a leading Washington think tank.
From 2010-2013, he wrote about intelligence, foreign affairs and cyber security as a staff reporter for The Washington Times — earning a second "Dateline Washington" award — and in 2014 went on to launch POLITICO Pro Cybersecurity, a premium subscription news service based around a must-read morning newsletter.
Prior to joining UPI, Shaun worked as a senior producer for the British Broadcasting Corporation’s flagship evening radio news program, The WorldTonight. Before joining the BBC, he worked as a freelance journalist and parliamentary aide in London, writing for publications including the investigative magazine Private Eye and doing research work for members of Parliament.
Shaun, who is British, has a master’s degree in social and political sciences from King’s College, Cambridge. He is married and lives in Washington, DC with his wife and eleven year old American son, Miles.
Cheryl Romero - Vice President of Client Relations
Cheryl Romero is a veteran business development and client relations executive with more than 15 years of experience in the technology marketplace.
Prior to joining Scoop News Group in September 2014, Ms. Romero served as Business Development Manager for Artech Information Systems (formerly EDGE Professional Services), specializing in IT workforce solutions, IT consulting and outsourced project services for Fortune 500 companies and numerous federal government agencies.
Previously, she served as Account Manager for Sapphire and as Technical Recruiting Manager for Ajilon. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park and is active in the Junior League of Washington.
Claire Corbett - Director of Operations
Claire Corbett is Director of Operations of Scoop News Group, responsible for day-to-day operations, including client and marketing services, technical support and company communications.
Claire first joined FedScoop in March 2014 as Executive Assistant to the CEO, where she handled the daily coordination of project teams, scheduling and liaison work on behalf of the CEO. Within three months, she was promoted to Operations Manager, taking direct responsibility for many of the company's marketing, design, and technology projects.
Prior to coming to FedScoop, Claire was the Stacks Services Coordinator at Georgetown University's Lauinger Library; Deputy Clerk & Conservation Technician for the Notarial Archives Research Center in New Orleans; and Chief Administrative Officer for Lanyap Creative. She is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans.
