MorningScoop: Ambassador Abdul-Jabbar, Blue Button and Tumblin’ in the Great Outdoors

NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was at the State Department yesterday where he took on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a game of one-on-one, using his devastating sky hook and 20-inch advantage to victory. OK, we made that up. Well, some of it. Abdul-Jabbar did meet with Secretary Clinton yesterday, where he was named a Cultural Ambassador. Abdul-Jabbar will travel to Brazil to meet with underserved youth in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro. As a Cultural Ambassador, Abdul-Jabbar will lead conversations with young people on the importance of education, social and racial tolerance, cultural understanding, and using sports as a means of empowerment. In addition, he will participate in basketball clinics with young people in both cities. In a word: awesome …
