Survey: U.S. insurers earned $1B in cyber premiums last year

U.S. insurers took in almost $1 billion in premiums last year for writing cybersecurity policies, according to new figures from credit analysts at Fitch Ratings.

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011, at the Harkin Senate building, nominees to the federal bench were interviewed by the Senate Judiciary Committee as a final step before their names are sent to the Senate floor for confirmation.
Candidates included U.S Magistrate Judge Cathy Bencivengo of the Southern District of California, Margo Kitsy Brodie, Esq. of Eastern District of New York, Dana L. Christensen, Esq. of the District of Montana, State Judge Gina Marie Groh of the Northern District of West Virginia, and Judge Evan J. Wallach of the U.S Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The judges, nominated by bi-partisan committees, were selected for life-long positions as federal circuit judges, to fill a backlog of vacant positions.
