U.S. insurers took in almost $1 billion in premiums last year for writing cybersecurity policies, according to new figures from credit analysts at Fitch Ratings.
U.S. Chief Information Officer Steven VanRoekel discussed federal government IT initiatives and unveiled a "Future First" agenda in his first visit to Silicon Valley as CIO on October 25 in Palo Alto, Ca.
"'Future First' will not be locked in stone. It will ever-evolve, but it should be based on principles by which we build extensibility in future readiness and modularity and the ability to deliver in fixed fiscal year time frames," VanRoekel said.
