U.S. Chief Information Officer Steven VanRoekel discussed federal government IT initiatives and unveiled a “Future First” agenda in his first visit to Silicon Valley as CIO on October 25 in Palo Alto, Ca.
“‘Future First’ will not be locked in stone. It will ever-evolve, but it should be based on principles by which we build extensibility in future readiness and modularity and the ability to deliver in fixed fiscal year time frames,” VanRoekel said.
