Richard A. Russell is a former senior national intelligence service executive who served in progressively responsible positions in national security for more than 36 years. He is an expert in public policy, cyber threats and security, personnel security, information security, special access program security, and research and technology protection.
He has served as a senior advisor for intelligence and security for the U.S. Army Materiel Command, served as director for Intelink Enterprise Collaboration Center, and was a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security. He also served as the first Director of Information Sharing and Collaboration in the federal government.
He currently serves as an advisor and mentor for technology companies and as an independent consultant and subject matter expert, working with Huntsville Integrated Technologies, LLC and The Russell Group, LLC, in Huntsville, Alabama.
