SAP’s David Robinson on driving agility and efficiency with AI

David Robinson, President of Cloud ERP and Acting Managing Director of US Public Services at SAP, discussed the evolving role of AI in enhancing decision-making and IT processes across federal agencies. He highlighted the immediate benefits of AI in assessing and modernizing IT infrastructure, optimizing IT processes, and transforming the IT operating model. Robinson also noted that the convergence of IT and mission processes has increased agility, cost efficiency and innovation. Despite workforce reduction pressures, he emphasized that IT modernization, driven by generative AI and cloud interoperability, is improving day-to-day IT operations, allowing agencies to focus more on mission-critical tasks and less on technology maintenance.
