Verizon’s Bryan Schromsky points to 5G for modernization

Bryan Schromsky, Managing Director of 5G Public Sector for Verizon, discussed the current state of 5G build-out, highlighting its adoption since April 2019. Schromsky noted the increased demand for mobility in federal facilities post-COVID, with challenges posed by RF signal penetration in LEED-certified buildings. He observed a resurgence in building systems to enhance mobile experiences and alleviate Wi-Fi network strain, supporting IoT devices and remote work.
