Accenture’s Dominic Delmolino calls modernization a chance for agencies ‘to freshen up’

Dominic Delmolino, CTO for Accenture Federal Services, says IT modernization is a lot about how you get rid of the old and bring in the new.

In an interview with FedScoop at the 2020 IT Modernization Summit, he explains that “government workers, citizens, people who engage with government services, they’ve become used to modern technology — they have it in their home lives, they have it when they travel, and they’re looking for that in their government experience. So there’s an expectation there that they’ll be having to interact with new, modern technology where they work and for those government services. And so that expectation makes them excited about the opportunity to both work on those new systems and experience them as citizens.”
