Patent office’s open data efforts detailed in new report

As the U.S. patent office has been working to boost its open data offerings, a new report offers a look at where the agency currently stands.

U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra discussed strategies for American innovation at last month’s OSIsoft-Microsoft Executive Summit held October 26-27, 2011, in San Francisco.
"We have pockets of talent in every corner of the country and, by embracing the spirit of open innovation, we are eating our own proverbial dog food, if you will. We are finding that talent and connecting them to the biggest challenges that confront us as a country," said Chopra.
