Capt. Christopher Clark on rapid AI adoption across commands

Capt. Christopher Clark, AI lead for the U.S. Marine Corps, discussed the Marine Corps AI Implementation Plan released in April. The plan focuses on deploying digital transformation teams across three commands to develop and adopt AI solutions rapidly. Clark highlighted the aggressive training and education campaign initiated by the Training and Education Command to integrate AI training into entry-level schools and career progression. The Marine Corps has also partnered with the Air Force’s Phantom Fellowship, sending Marines to MIT for AI research, and established a Marine Corps AI Fellowship at the Naval Postgraduate School. Successful pilot projects include a large language model system for after-action reports.
