The Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service is looking for a supervisory information technology specialist. The job pays between $96,690 and $125,695 per year and is open for applications until the end of Wednesday.
This position manages enterprise-wide operations in the following areas: Technology Architecture, including data center, storage, data bases, mobile computing, desktop, radio, network architecture, and IT Security.
Performs the full realm of supervisory administrative and human resources management functions relative to the staff supervised. Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities.
Plans, guides, coordinates, and manages the work of subordinates, secondary, and related resources. Participates in preliminary and critical design reviews and develop architectural plans to support customer defined requirements.
Manages team of architects responsible for the maintenance of architectural bricks and patterns, enterprise systems standards, and design considerations to ensure use of industry best practices and systems security for all server, network, radio, desktop and mobile computing environments.
Liaison with business customers and operations support personnel to evaluate current and future enterprise systems requirements to determine systems frameworks and strategies necessary to meet organizational requirements.
Directs information services and technology projects that inhance customer experience with supported systems.
