Brilliant in 20 Ep. 3 — Global leadership through vulnerability with Bridgette Heller

Brilliant in 20 returns with its third episode featuring global leader, board member, and non-profit CEO Bridgette Heller.

A board director for Novartis, Dexcom Inc., and Tech Data Corporation, Heller is the co-founder and CEO of Florida non-profit Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation, a former global leader with Danone, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and former Executive Vice President at Kraft. She joins LaVerne Council for a wide-ranging and impactful conversation that spans two episodes of Brilliant in 20. Heller discusses brand creation and curation as the originator of Kraft’s management of Gevalia Coffee, including one critical quality every brand manager and marketer must have, and shifts into an analysis of the crises she encountered while at Johnson and Johnson and Merck and the tools she found essential in effective crisis management and crisis communication.

Listen to Part One of LaVerne’s conversation with Heller to hear why vulnerability is so important to both women as female global leaders. Heller’s non-profit, the Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation, was founded in the midst of her executive career as a labor of love and in honor of her mother, a teacher of 35 years. SPPF is dedicated to advancing reading, math and science literacy, helping to close the achievement gap for children in the “at-risk” communities of St. Petersburg.

A partnership between Scoop News Group and Council’s company, Emerald One, LLC, Brilliant in 20 is a celebration of leadership, sharing the lessons learned by visionaries in a variety of fields like technology, business and government in just about 20 minutes.
