The man in charge of building out the Pentagon’s massive cloud infrastructure is leaving his job next month.

The man in charge of building out the Pentagon’s massive cloud infrastructure is leaving his job this week.

David Stickley — the director of the implementation office for the Joint Information Environment, as the military calls its huge cloud network — will leave his job at the Defense Information Systems Agency in Fort Mead, Md., Oct. 2, according to a DISA official.

Alana Johnson, a civilian spokeswoman for DISA, said Stickley, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, was leaving for “personal reasons” and Oct. 2 would be his last day

According to a biography posted by AFCEA, Stickley was at one point the chief information officer for the Air National Guard at Joint Base Andrews.
