Robert Newlen told Senate appropriators that the LOC’s $5.4 million request for a centralized AI platform would ensure the library and Congress won’t “be left behind.”
Eliminating regulations were presented as “the default case” for HUD legal and policy employees based on the AI tool’s recommendations, documents show.
Zach Whitman, GSA’s CAIO and chief data scientist, said his team is still working to quantify the value agencies get from using generative AI chatbots.
