John Speakman, deputy chief information officer for Scientific Programs at the National Cancer Institute within the National Institutes of Health, left his role in July for a position at New York University.
Speakman is now the Senior Director for Research Information Technology at the NYU Langone Medical Center. His main role will be to translate between the language of biomedical researcher and that of the informaticist and the technologist.
He is also now responsible for the development and implementation of NYU Langone Medical Center’s research related information technology projects including administration, clinical and computational.
