The second-in-command in Trump’s Office of Science and Technology Policy announced her departure Tuesday. OSTP’s Dean Ball also recently left the office.
The remarks from Michael Kratsios follow the administration’s termination of grants at the National Science Foundation that don’t align with its policies.

The Office of Science and Technology Policy disagreed with the watchdog’s recommendation that it should inform agencies about their status as implementing agencies with regulatory authority.
