The Chief Data Architect (CDA) is responsible for creating and managing all data aspects within the USITC’s database architectures. The CDA plays an integral part in the Commission’s databases and data storage. Sets enterprise-wide data standards and policies, and serves a key role in data security compliance with Federal standards, policies and guidelines. Develops the enterprise-wide data vision, and champions efforts to reach that vision. Conducts continuous reviews of and suggestions improvements to, the data architecture processes, policies, and visions. Explores and evaluates new and emerging technologies. Promotes data sharing, consistency and resuse across the Commission through the development of an enterprise-wide data repository/warehouse. Serves as the in-house expert and authority by defining, implementing, and enforcing all data integration standards and documentation. Translates business requirements from across the Commission into data design requirements and subsequent data models. Manages cross-office teams and collaborates with business units and data owners to successfully implement and maintain an enterprise level business analytics and data repository/warehouse solutions.
