The General Services Administration named Linda Chero as the acting head of its Public Building Service.
Chero, previously the Mid-Atlantic regional commissioner with the agency’s Federal Acquisition Service, replaced Bob Peck who was fired due to the scandal surrounding GSA’s 2010 Western Regions Conference.
Desa Sealy, formerly an associate Public Buildings Service commissioner, was named acting deputy Public Buildings Service commissioner under Chero.
GSA also announced that Public Buildings Service Deputy Commissioner David Foley was placed on administrative leave following the inspector general’s report on the conference and his appearance in a video congratulating a GSA employee for a parody video.
