The Peace Corps is looking for a number of information technologies specialists to work on network services. The jobs pay between $100,298 and $147,265 per year and are open for applications until June 19.
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and reports to the Manager of Network Operations. The incumbent will be part of a small, highly technical interdisciplinary team responsible for the entire system lifecycle of global domestic and overseas telecommunications and networks infrastructure. The incumbent s should be well rounded and willing to perform new tasks.
Performs a range of duties to ensure the availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation of data within information systems, electronic communications systems, and/or wireless network systems. Performs reviews and studies to prevent security attacks against such systems.
Ensures, or participates in ensuring, the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
Evaluates, acquires, configures, and uses software intended to ensure that automated systems are secure from unauthorized use, viral infection, and other problems that would compromise sensitive information in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, or would compromise other aspects of overall system security. Candidate must have experience using Cisco ASA, MARS, and IPS products; as well as an in depth understanding of Cisco, Barracuda, Splunk, and Infoblox systems.
Manages the lifecycle of an information technology project from concept development through implementation. Identifies customer requirements, develops technical approaches, and coordinates project resources related to project costs and schedules.
Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains hardware and software systems to ensure secure, high availability and functionality of the systems. Participate in the design, implementation, and participation of Information Technology Disaster Recovery exercises, as well as routine Information Technology security audits.
Performs work involved with the acquisition, evaluation, support, and implementation of wide area network (WAN) systems and applications. Provides technical expertise needed to implement WANs including the design, documentation, debugging, and maintenance of the WAN. Works in accordance with agency Office of Information Resources Management (OIRM) regulations, policies, and directives.
Selectee will be require to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
