2012 marked a momentous year for the White House on Twitter.
The @WhiteHouse Twitter account surpassed three million followers and tweeted more than 3,000 times. The administration also live-tweeted the State of the Union Addresses and held a Twitter Q&A with President Obama on the country’s fiscal debates.
To put the year in perspective, the White House collected its top tweets for 2012 into one post that includes tweets of everything from President Obama meeting with the gold medal-winning Olympic gymnastics team to his campaign.
