Vint Cerf: U.S. needs to step away from ICANN oversight
May 04, 2015
Internet pioneer and Google chief evangelist Vint Cerf told an audience at the National Press Club Monday that the time has come for the U.S. to step away from ICANN oversight.
The position will focus on helping federal agencies and U.S. Congress better leverage the social networking platform, as well as educate policymakers and regulators to help "advance policy beneficial to Twitter."
Among the preferred requirements are a law or other advanced degree and sense of humor.
