The White House released a 34-page report outlining the Obama Administration’s efforts to create a more open and transparent government.
The report documents the progress of many of the administration’s open government initiatives and anticipates continued progress in the space, according to Special Assistant to the President and Senior Counsel to the President Steven Croley.
“Of course, creating a more open government requires sustained effort,” Croley said. “How best to harness new technologies in the service of open government, to strike the proper balance between transparency and the protection of national security and personal privacy, to change agency culture so that openness becomes the new normal–such issues require long-term commitment.”
