The General Services Administration has received approval of the internal business case for the proposed total professional services solution with an information technology component.
Along with the approval, GSA has renamed the program “One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services,” or OASIS. The program was originally called Integrations.
“Selecting a name for a solution is no small task; a name must not only be recognizable, but it must also convey the solution’s purpose and value,” the agency wrote. “That’s why it was so important to the Integrations—now OASIS—team to seek feedback and suggestions from industry members such as yourselves. Maintaining communication with industry is a key part of the OASIS development process. As you know, launching a new product or solution involves a lot of steps. Ensuring that a solution is successful is a team effort, and we at FAS consider industry a part of that team.”
