Microsoft named Leigh Madden as its U.S. Air Force Director in the company’s U.S. Public Sector group, the company announced Tuesday.
Madden will oversee and support Microsoft’s Air Force Account Team Unit.
“I look forward to being a strategic partner to the Air Force as it continues to simultaneously lead the way in technology innovation and navigate new landscape and budget challenges,” Madden said.
“From cloud computing to next generation IT, our Microsoft team will continue to support the Air Force in critical capability scenarios as well as modes of mobile computing. We will work closely with the Air Force to offer new technologies that meet customer needs holistically, make their lives easier and take them to the next level.”
Prior to joining Microsoft, Madden served as Managing Director at The Rappahannock Companies, where he was responsible for restructuring, growing, and building strategic partnerships for companies providing products and services to the U.S. Armed Forces, allied militaries and critical infrastructure concerns internationally.
