White paper: NIST conducts proof of concept on trusted geolocation in the cloud

The National Institute of Standards and Technology conducted a proof of concept that demonstrates trusted geolocation in the cloud using Intel Trusted Execution Technology.

In the report, NIST, working with Intel, VMWare and RSA Archer, provides a blueprint the general security community can use to validate and implement the proof of concept.

“NIST is playing a critical role in providing federal agencies with objective insight and guidance on securely moving applications to the cloud,” said Intel Director of Federal Sales Jason Kimrey.

Trusted geolocation allows organizations to determine and control the location of the hardware that processes and stores their sensitive information and applications in the cloud.
