“Right now, I’m doing a lot on innovation. We are in the middle of figuring out how to deploy cloud services in a very agile, but valued way. We are also looking at the culture dynamics of IT governance at my center. How do we federate an IT governance model that will work within a scientific environment? It’s not an authoritative of a hierarchical structure, so we’re rolling out more of a federated model. We are really in the middle of that and having a discussion of what is the future role of IT from a standpoint of maintaining the center’s competitiveness. And how can we as a federated IT group – an IT board – address those major challenges.”
