Foreign exchange program exposes Middle Eastern girls to computer coding

The State Department program, started in 2011, introduces nearly 30 teenage girls from the Middle East to Java programming and advanced computer coding.

Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry is featured in two recently released videos promoting the agency’s annual Feds Feed Families program.
The venture asks for federal employees to donate at least one meal to the program that raised 2.7 million pounds of food last year for nation-wide charities. Berry has set a goal of two million pounds this year and runs from June 1 through August 31.
