Energy to Create Joint Cybersecurity Coordination Center

The Department of Energy is creating a Joint Cybersecurity Coordination Center, a collaborative approach to incident response and risk mitigation across the department, wrote DOE Chief Information Officer Michael Locatis in a new blog post on CIO.gov.

The network aims to make cybersecurity programs stronger by leveraging the agency’s best practices and capabilities and consolidating a number of disparate activities.

“In addressing the complexity of cybersecurity, we are focused on establishing productive partnerships across the federal government and with our private and public stakeholders. These relationships serve as a strong foundation for continued improvements in our cybersecurity and privacy programs,” Locatis wrote.
