The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology launched a developer challenge to help create an application to engage citizens to improve their cardiovascular health as part of the Million Hearts Initiative.
The goal of the Million Hearts Initiative is to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes over the next five years by reducing the number of people who need treatment.
The challenge is open until Jan. 1, 2012, with winners announced January 20, 2012. Judging criteria, prize information and entry details can be found here.
