Army Corps of Engineers Seeks Deputy CIO

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is looking for a deputy chief information Officer. The job pays between $123,758 and $155,000 per year and is open for applications until April 20.

As the Supervisory IT Specialist specializing in Policy Planning, you will serve as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO), and serve as Acting Chief Information Officer in his/her absence.  You will have direct contact with high level officials within USACE, Army and other agencies as well as Federal and State officials, local businesses, contractors and the general public.

You will be responsible for the planning and directing of the assigned activities of the organization in accordance with policies and objectives of the CIO and higher authority. You will establish program and project goals and determine resources needed in order to maintain the organizational missions and functions. You will develop long-range programs that involve financing of operations, logistical support, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

You will exercise supervision and control for the CIO staff of multi-disciplined professional and technical/clerical personnel encompassing the network management, systems and records management, telecommunications, automation, printing and publications, and management analysis disciplines. You will assign work and with personnel office assistance, establish positions based upon needs and economical utilization.
