The General Services Administration became the latest government agency to leverage blog hosting platform and social media site Tumblr. The service is now available to all government agencies per terms of service agreement negotiated by GSA and has been added to apps.gov.
In announcing the agreement, GSA said that the Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies launched its popular blog.usa.gov blog on Tumblr. The blog shares timely and informative posts about a variety of topics, such as reverse mortgages, obesity trends in the country, and avoiding tax refund fees.
State Department has also adopted the service.
