TSA CTO leaving in December

Transportation Security Administration Chief Technology Officer Jill Vaughan is leaving the agency Dec. 2 after two years in the role, FedScoop has learned.
Vaughan is also the assistant administrator for the Office of Security Capabilities. In her current roles, she oversees “implementation and development, test and evaluation, acquisition, deployment and maintenance of all TSA security technologies and systems across multiple modes of transportation.”
Vaughan has held other roles at TSA, such as deputy CIO and deputy assistant administrator for the Office of Information Technology. She has also served as TSA’s CISO.
As CISO, Vaughan oversaw “areas covering computer network defense; focused operations; FISMA compliance and policy; cyber security awareness and outreach; and secure infrastructure and vulnerability management.”
She has more than 10 years of information security experience and 15 years of IT experience.
Vaughan was named one of FedScoop’s 50 Women in Tech in 2014.
