Brett Goldstein’s career has taken him to many levels and flavors of leadership managing IT. The director of the Pentagon’s Defense Digital Service got his start in the industry by building startups before taking tech and data roles with the Chicago Police Department and the City of Chicago, and working for a hedge fund. At DDS, he leads the team responsible for scaling modern technologies for impact across the mission of national security. His advice for such a career? “Always be learning,” he told FedScoop. “The key has always been to educate myself on every new challenge. Constantly educate yourself on the different contexts and subject matters required to succeed in every new environment.”
