Government executives convened earlier this week in Washington for the 2011 Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO) to address federal government efficiency and sustainability issues.
Addressing attendees, General Services Administration Administrator Martha Johnson said:
“We have to do more with less. We have to boost our efficiencies, shrink our waste and build our collaborative capabilities. In other words, we have to foster and create a high performance government. We need a government that efficiently and effectively uses its resources, collaborates with the public, and is nimble, agile and responsive.”
