Mark Ryland, chief solutions architect, world wide public sector team, Amazon Web Services, discusses data analytics in this interview with FedScoopTV.
“At Amazon Web Services, we provide a utility cloud computing service, so our customers come onto our platform and they can provision large amounts of virtual machines, different storage types and so forth. It’s the Intel architecture, X86 platform, so kind of generic in that respect. But the ability to provision large numbers of systems to work cooperatively with them to do parallel processing makes it a really powerful platform for our customers. You can directly provision for yourself a lot rich capabilities, but in addition to that we provide big-data services.”
