The Department of Defense and the Environmental Protection Agency signed a memorandum of understanding that formalizes the partnership to develop and implement technologies that will help create sustainable American military bases across the globe.
The agreement was signed by Dorothy Robyn, deputy under secretary of defense for install and environment, and Paul Anastas, assistant administrator at EPA.
Under the agreement, DOD and the EPA’s Office of Research and Development will collaborate on cutting-edge research done by EPA and DOD scientists and engineers that will be used to develop and demonstrate tools and technologies to aid DOD in achieving its vision of sustainability.
