NGA seeks deputy COO

The D/COO supervises the Office of the NGA Executive Secretariat (ONE) and the NGA Operations Center (NOC) for the purpose of ensuring timely and responsive agency engagement through correspondence, operational reporting and sustainment of agency operational, personnel and facilities situational awareness.

The D/COO represents the NGA front office, COO, NOC and ONE in governing activities including the Key Component Evaluation Board (KCEB), Human Capital Management Board (HCMB), the CIO Steering Committee (CIOSC) and supports the planning and conduct of NGA Board of Directors (BoD) meetings.

The D/COO also has a unique role in overseeing the corporate protocol activities and the interaction with industry representatives, Federally Funded R&D Centers and preparation for VIP visits and special events.

The incumbent is required to routinely engage Senior Executives and General officers internal and external to NGA in the coordination and development of NGA corporate strategies and positions on a variety of matters.

These efforts require the integration of perspectives across multiple corporate disciplines including Human Resources, Facilities, Finance & Budgeting, Information Technology, Research and Development, Policy, Legal, Corporate Communications, Equal Opportunity, Military Support and International Affairs. The D/COO harmonizes the activities across the major NGA operations in Springfield VA, St. Louis MO and with NGA personnel deployed worldwide through routine daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly business routines.
