The National Institute of Standards and Technology will host its 25th annual Federal Information Systems Security Educator’s Association conference on March 27 to 29 at the agency’s Gaithersburg, Md. headquarters.
The meeting will explore “A New Era in Cybersecurity Awareness, Training and Education” where attendees will learn about current cybersecurity projects, emerging trends and new initiatives. The program includes an update on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, a national campaign coordinated by NIST that is designed to improve the cyber behavior, skills and knowledge of every segment of the population to enable a safer cyberspace.
Scheduled keynotes are retired Navy Vice Admiral Patricia Tracey, former Chief of Naval Education and Training/Director of Training and retired Navy Admiral Betsy Hight, who will provide information from a technical standpoint.
