Shay Assad, the director of defense procurement and acquisition policy at DoD for the past five years, has been named the new director of pricing in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics), the department announced Tuesday.
Before assuming his job as head of procurement and acquisition policy, Assad was the Assistant Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics (Contracts) at the Marine Corps.
In August 2007, he received DoD’s medal for exceptional civilian service. In addition, he has also been recognized as an AbilityOne (formerly JAWOD) Champion.
