Brocade stays in house for new VP of federal sales

Virtual networking giant ​Brocade has promoted its CTO Phil O'Reilly to be vice president of federal sales — leading the firm's efforts to sell to the Defense Department, intelligence agencies and U.S. civilian government.

Virtual networking giant Brocade has promoted its Chief Technology Officer Phil O’Reilly to be vice president of federal sales — leading the firm’s efforts to sell to the Defense Department, and intelligence and civilian government agencies.

O’Reilly has been with Brocade since 2010, most recently as CTO for the Americas and federal.

Prior to 2010, O’Reilly was senior vice president of Americas Sales at Juniper Networks. He also spent time as CEO of Solunet Inc., an IT infrastructure provider with a broad public sector presence in the North and Latin America

He will report to Jeff Lindholm, Brocade’s senior vice president of worldwide sales.

“We’re excited to have Phil lead our federal sales organization to help our customers on their path to network modernization,” Lindholm said. 

O’Reilly holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College, a law degree from Western New England College School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Penn State University.
 
“I’m excited to take on this important challenge of helping federal CIOs transform their infrastructure into modern New IP networks,” O’Reilly said.
