Park: ‘Energy Datapalooza’ in the works

Coming soon: An Energy Datapalooza.

The White House said today that it is looking to hold an event to celebrate private sector energy and environmental innovation fueled by open data, said U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park in a blog post co-written with David Danielson, the Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the Department of Energy and Richard Kauffman is Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy.

While not mentioned in the blog post, it’s fair to assume that the Energy Datapalooza could mirror the Health Datapalooza Park helped initiate as CTO of the Department of Health and Human Services.

There were no details mentioned as to the particulars of the event, such as focus, possible speakers or location.
