HHS CISO leaving
Sara Hall, chief information security officer for the Department of Health and Human Services, is leaving the department, FedScoop has learned.
FedScoop learned Friday of Hall’s forthcoming departure from HHS and reached out to her, but she did not immediately comment further on the timing of the move or where she was headed.
According to her public LinkedIn profile, Hall has served as HHS CISO since April 2010, before which she served as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton for seven years.
This vacancy will leave HHS without a few key IT players in its Office of the Chief Information Officer. At the end of November 2015, long-time former CIO Frank Baitman left the department; Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Technology Beth Killoran subsequently took over his role in an acting capacity in December. HHS is also looking to fill a deputy CIO position in the office, which Killoran also serves in as an acting capacity.
FedScoop will continue to update this story when it receives relevant information.
