Alex Miller
Federal Leadership
Alex Miller serves as chief technology officer and senior adviser for science and technology to the Army chief of staff. He works to bring emerging capabilities closer to soldiers and operational units, with particular attention to how software, data and industry-developed technology can be adopted at speed. Miller has pressed vendors to make their software interfaces accessible so the Army can connect tools and test new approaches more readily. His role links senior Army leadership with the engineers, companies and units working through practical technology challenges. The goal is to help promising innovations become capabilities soldiers can use in a rapidly changing operational environment.
